Congratulations Dr. Alba Aguion
FOL member Alba Aguión has successfully defended her PhD on May 5th at the University of Vigo. Alba defended her work on the governance, management and ecology of small-scale benthic fisheries to the three members of her final evaluation committee: Dr. Xavier Basurto (University of Duke, USA), Dr. Nicolás Gutiérrez (FAO) and Dr. Cristina Pita (International Institute for Environmental Development, UK). The presentation was followed by a set of questions and insightful discussions. From FOL, we thank the three committee members for their time to visit us in Vigo and for the feedback provided during the defence – that will be of great help for Alba´s future work!
Alba is also greatful to all members of CLOCK and Future Oceans Lab, the PERCEBES project, and emLaB – which have played a key role in her PhD. From FOL, we wish Alba good luck for her next steps in her career!
