26/11/2020 -

Smit Vasquez Caballero attended the Environment for Development Initiative 14th annual virtual meeting, November 16-20, 2020. The Environment for Development (EfD) is a global network of economists and natural resources scientists providing empirical and theoretical evidence promoting sustainable environmental policy. The conference was organised around sessions related to agriculture and climate change, behavioural and experimental economics, clean energy, development, and health, among others themes within the intersection of the environment and development.

Smit participated in the marine program sessions that included presentations about aquaculture, sustainable fishing, and Fishery Performance Indicators (FPI). Smit’s goal is to learn about FPIs and their application to the climate change vulnerability assessment of fisheries systems to apply in his research within CLOCK project.
