Jané Salazar joins FOL for a 2 month-research stay
We are really pleased to start to work with Jané Salazar for the next two months, although the current circumstances due to COVID-19 only allow us to work and meet her remotely. Jané joins us from the University of Oviedo where she is conducting her graduate studies in the International Masters’ in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea): Management of Living Marine Resources. During her internship, she will be working with the FOL teammembers Elena and Alex on impacts and adaptations of fisheries to shifting stocks. She holds a BS in Natural Resources Management from the University of Belize (2016).
Jané is from Belize and has worked in conservation and management of coral reef ecosystems and artisanal fisheries, primarily within the Mesoamerican Region. Her interests include artisanal fisheries and community management, and the social-ecological resilience of these communities. She is also an advocate for youth involvement in policy, planning and implementation.
Welcome to FOL Jané!
