FOL welcomes Francesca to the team; more women in the climate vulnerability research
After a competitive selection process for the position as Project researcher on the MPA Engage project, Francesca Barazzetta has succeeded and has joined the Future Ocean Lab team this March 2020.
Francesca has successfully completed her Master in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen. She conducted her master thesis in collaboration with FOL, during her first visit in 2018, studying small scale fisheries livelihood and their adaptive capacity by the effect of climate change obtaining the highest mark.
During this stay at FOL, Francesca will be working on the project MPA Engage: Engaging Mediterranean key players in Ecosystem Approach to managing Marine Protected Areas to face Climate. Together with Elena Ojea, Francesca will be elaborating a methodological guideline on climate vulnerability assessments for seven MPAs settled in the Mediterranean basin and she will be supporting with training activities for stakeholders.
