Seminar on the Impacts of climate change on tropical tunas and adaptation
Last Tuesday, November 26th, at 11 am, FOL member Iratxe Rubio presented part of her PhD results. The seminar took place during the Café con sal conference cycle organized by the ECIMAT and was titled “Impacts of climate change on tropical tunas, how can we adapt an international fishery?”.
Iratxe presented how views on adaptive capacity needs by different actors of an international fishery, defined as a social-ecological system, are related to their connectivity and social organization. This allows exploring in which domains of adaptive capacity adaptation actions are likely to have greatest influence and what actors might facilitate them, which is crucial when whiling to adapt to climate change.
