25/10/2019 -

After the intense work during the summer months, Elena Ojea and her colleague Lead Authors have put together the first draft of the Ocean and Coastal Systems chapter for the IPCC 6th Assessment report. Elena joined the IPCC activities in January with the first author meeting in South Africa, and continued working to produce an internal draft in April. A meeting this summer in Nepal lead to the discussions and advances needed to get the author team to produce the first open document that you can now review signing up in the IPCC address:

After registering, you can choose the chapters where you have best expertise at, and the IPCC technical unit will grant you access to the documents, after agreeing to confidentiality. It is important to remember that these drafts are work in progress and by should not be leaked at any point. The final report will be released in Fall 2021. Take your time to give us feedback to this important process, you can do it until 13 December 2019.
