UVIGO Marine Research Centre (CIM-UVIGO) offers a temporary position to support the research line on Sustainable exploitation of marine resources. Applications are welcome to cover the Research Assistant position at the Future Oceans Lab (FOL) research group, led by Dr. Elena Ojea. We are looking for a researchers with background on adaptation to climate change in marine systems. This is a temporary appointment to join our lab at the University of Vigo, Spain. Full job details can be found in the EURAXESS and in this file in Galician.

Successful applicants will work with the Principal Investigator, (Elena Ojea) and project team in the ERC project  CLOCK – Climate Adaptation to Shifting Stocks. This is a highly multidisciplinary project that addresses Adaptation to Climate Change in Marine systems from an ecological, social and an economic perspective. The researcher will have the chance to explore the needs for adaptation in different marine systems, such as protected areas or areas under property rights, and the socioeconomic consequences of implementing these adaptation options. Moreover, the candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the PI in the scientific reports of IPCC and other projects carried out at FOL.
