Mikko Heino, Ph.D. presents at the Interdisciplinary Fisheries Seminar Series this week
This Wednesday, December 13, 1pm, Visiting Professor Mikko Heino from the University of Bergen and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) will be presenting his work on reconciling stakeholder conflicts at the Interdisciplinary Fisheries Seminar Series (IFS). IFS is the new seminar series at the University of Vigo presented by Campus do Mar and ECOBAS.
Mikko’s seminar entitled “Reconciling stakeholder conflicts in managing fish resources through integrating biological and socio-economic perspectives” will cover management options for capelin and cod fisheries in Norway and how apparently competing stakeholders’ objectives can be reconciled. You can read more about Mikko´s work on fisheries-induced adaptive changes in fish, density dependence in fish population dynamics, and other fascinating topics like blue whiting in his website.
We look forward to seeing you all again at Seminar Room 07 of the School of Economics of the University of Vigo! For those who follow us remotely, the seminar will be recorded and uploaded very soon on our website and social media.
