FOL will be in the largest online science event with schools
PhD student Alba Aguión has been selected as one of the 30 researchers from Spain that will be taking part in the forthcoming event of “I´m a scientist, get me out of here”. The event, originated in the UK but rapidly spread through different countries, aims to link school students with scientists. Through this connection students can not only chat and ask anything they want to the researches, but can vote for their favourites! The most voted scientists win a prize of 500 euros to organize outreach events to keep spreading their science to the world!
Alba will be participating from November 6th to the 17th, in the Magnesio Zone. In her profile she will be answering questions from 13-14 year old students, as well as having online chats with them. Between the 30 researchers that will be taking part in the next edition of the contest, 151 classes of 103 spanish schools are expected to be contacted. From here we want to thank the organizers Obra social La Caixa and FECYT for our participation in such an exciting event!
