Eréndira Aceves-Bueno spends four weeks visiting us
Erendira Aceves-Bueno holds a PhD from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management (University of California, Santa Barbara). During her PhD dissertation, she developed spatial bio-economic models to analyze the role of spillover and fishermen cooperation in the design of Territorial Use of Rights in Fisheries (TURFs). Eréndira is very interested in Galician fisheries and system of TURFs, and will spend some weeks with us at the lab.
During her four-week stay, Dr. Aceves-Bueno will do research on the role of Marine Reserves in climate change Adaptation, a central question in CLOCK. She will also give a Campus do Mar seminar on her recent PhD work at UCSB at the Gaines Lab. Her research experience will allow the team and to improve their knowledge and to develop new tools and develop new collaborations with her. We welcome Eréndira Aceves-Bueno to the lab!
